What is insulator？

Insulator is a device which can withstand the voltage and mechanical stress installed between conductors or between conductors and grounding components. There are many kinds of insulators with different shapes. Although the structure and shape of various insulators are quite different, they are all composed of two parts: insulator and connecting hardware fitting.
